More NarutoxSakura stuff. :D I don't care how unpopular it is compared to the other ships--it's darned good for the soul...and I wrote a fic where I killed Naruto and now I'm angsting/emo about it. (HOW, HOW?! IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! NEVARR! ...who could kill Naruto? That handsome goofy face?!) ....

When Naruto was fifteen he realized loving Sakura-chan was like trying to spell pieces of Shikamaru’s vocabulary: it takes a damn long time, but you feel really, really, really damned good at the end, and after that it’s with you forever.

Sakura hears from Ino that when someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. Naruto says her name different, like it’s as holy as his ramen—the moron.

And she smiles because she knows her name is safe in his mouth.

When Sakura got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So Naruto did it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too.

I just love how you took such little things in life and managed to show the extent of the characters' affection for one another. It sure beats the usual cliches of... bah, let's not think about the usual cliches. XD And because these are such little everyday life aspects, you just Know how integral a part of the character lives they are.

A, it's so simple and just so unique and ... and WHY ISN'T NARUSAKU MORE POPULAR? The thing is people throw themselves at SasuSaku and I just cannot for the life of me figure out why. It's like...wife abuse or something, Sakura is someone else (was) completely around Sasuke and it just wasn't nice because he completely ignored her DDDDD':

I think it is safe to say I cannot see Sasuke and Sakura doing the last thing above. Ships are great, but I only do it if...well I peronally take the "what happens when they grow old?" viewpoint on EVERYTHING because I'm wierd like that. SakuraxNaruto, Sai, and Kakashi--and NejixHinata--all have that for me. Heck, SasukexNaruto has that for me, I have about a hundred scenarios in my end for those two as an old (gay xD) couple. If it doesn't compute to a scenario in old, "I'm not as beautiful anymore do you still love me and my habits?" age, I drop it.

God, why is that you always manage to write so little and yet make it so very powerful? I don't know; this really impresses me because it's hard to write, contrary to popular belief, to write short fics.

Reading this put a smile on my face because those drabbles were a slice of life: cute, heart-warming and believable. The arthritis was kind of touching -- it is just like Naruto to do anything for Sakura. The first part was adorable and the second beautiful (I love how used you the word ramen here... both ramen and Sakura are important to Naruto). I'll admit it, that in spite of my angsty writing, I'm do love fluff provided it's well done. And this was very well done with the fluff being realistic and so very "down-to-earth".

A little nitpick, though -- in both the first and second part you started off with the past tense, only to use the present later on. I'd suggest you to remain consistent.

However, this was really lovely and you reminded me once again why I'm so attracted to NaruSaku in the first place.

I've got a cat, too. A red tabby, which sleeps with me every night. So, I understand what your feeling -- I'm sorry. I love animals in general. In many instances, they're better companions than many people I know. "The Princess Sasuke " icon is too cute.

You don't really have to ask me, though my personal preference leans towards past tense -- that always works well for prose.

It's nice that you use RL as an inspiration -- trust me, I do too. There's that saying that you should write what you know, though in a very light way. I just tend to pour a lot of emotion in my work and whatever I feel mostly seeps into my work. It's scary, if you think about it. And you're not unoriginal: I like your approach on Naruto/Sakura because it's subtle and, yes, very real. You shouldn't worry about that. Besides, it's not like I'm not very original either.

It was so SEEABLE. All the things that come with old age that no one else thinks about: Naruto losing his hearing, Sakura gaining weight....really I see her still loving him and him still loving her because she's his Sakura-chan (I think he'd still call her that even then! <3<3!!)

They would be the old couple next door; she's always yelling at her husband and he's like "WHAT?" even though he's right next to her, and she would fuss at him, and he would pretend to listen because he knows it'll be worse if she sees that he's not listening, and then when she's done badgering him, he says "yes Sakura-chan" and she says "oh, you're wonderful deary" and then they lean in, pucker their lips, and have a smack! and they both smile and you just know that they're happy they're together.

I'm a SasukexNaruto/NarutoxSakura lover, it's really sad but I use my powers for good in the slash world by smacking people who DARE bash Naruto's Sakura-chan. *breathes fire* They're so cute, and I CAN see them together as old people even after all the physical beauty is gone. When she ran at that 4-tailed Naruto and cried she'd save Sasuke for him, I thought "gosh, she does love him doesn't she?" That's friendship turned into love, the best kind. <3

SasuSasu = crack. Like, more than KakaSaku--I'm pretty sure they exchange more lines of KINDNESS to each other than Sasuke and Sakura.

He saw her as a valuable friend before he left, but that's it. He never reached out to her emotionally and she never understood his loneliness and always was submissive to him unless Naruto was there to start things off. Whatever bond they had was not mutual, because she forced it on him, as opposed to Naruto which, as seen in the flashbacks to childhood at VOTE, had indeed been mutual.

She's the only woman he acknowledged in Konoha since his mother and aunt, seriously that is a point that's implications settles things for me as a non-SasuSaku shipper.

NARUHINA MAKES ME MAD. Well, not really. Logically the only way they can be together is if Hinata abandons her clan--because Naruto is totally going to become Hokage and how would THAT look if his wife was a clan head tht could bias him? *rolls eyes* And then Hinata would be a coward for forgetting she wanted to change Hyuuga and save Neji. And she's never inspired Naruto, she's never in his thoughts in his lowest moments (that's Sasuke)--it isn't a patient love it's called STALKING.

I am such a cheating whore with my SasukexNaruto OTP. D; *repents* But NarutoxSakura is just....too...riiight. Sasuke and Naruto are soulmates , but Naruto and Sakura have the normal, easy friendship that ...*brain expodes* I can't explain it because it's definitely obsessive there too. I think it's just this feeling that if Sakura and Naruto got together, Naruto would leave without saying goodbye if word came Sasuke was near Konoha, racing so fast to see him he would forget. I guess the only way I can relate is the obsession Yuugi and Yami had for each other from Yugioh, despite that Yuugi loved Anzu, though Sakura is a much cooler Anzu. (*doesn't know if you've ever watched that series*)

That and I read another fic where Sasuke or Naruto was in a dress and Sakura was called a bitch and MY POOR EYESSS.

I can't explain how I can ship two contradicting ships so powerfully. And yet...I hate PreTSTeam7 threesome now, how wierd is that?
