I guess thanks to the hawt sex in acacciabrown's and stereotypevamp's fics I'm all OTP'ed out. xD

Although...this does take precedent over any pairing I could possibly have in Naruto. Sort of like in Buffy the Vampire Slayer--for some reason any interaction with Buffy and Giles glued me to the screen/page more than any sex scene with Angel or Spike (I'm weird). It's the parental angst, it gets me every time. Well, that and Naruto are Iruka are so frigging cute. It's sad and poignant: you have a jaded ninja who finds this great kid who's as lonely as he is and he fell in love with him. And though it is a Kishimoto Standard that all males in the Naruto-verse are emotionally retarded, Naruto and Iruka never really seem sure of what to say, though you know the truth by how they look at one another. Naruto's nervous because well the last person he forgot to show gratitude for was Sasuke and he took off. Iruka loved his family and they died. So do they jump for it or try to hold back while they can? I would love, love, LOVE one simple filler scene in the manga where Naruto accidentally calls Iruka-sensei "Dad." (Sorry to Minato lovers, but I would root for Iruka in a custodial fight xD).

Everyone in the series has a "special person." Sasuke's is, in a twisted way, Itachi. Sakura's is, in a beautiful way, her teammates. Naruto's is Sasuke. And Iruka's...is Naruto.

Regardless, since Naruto is obviously not the main character in the manga anymore (xD) here's a mix for my fav nonOTP: Secret Pervert, Sad Iruka-sensei and his blond blockhead dead last, Naruto, from a small boy to the young man Iruka's so proud of today.
