Strange and Beautiful, a Sai x Sakura FST
Huzzah i have my internets back! *grumbles stupid storms* Anyway...
AS OF 3/7/08: ALL INDIVIDUAL FILE LINKS ARE MP3/REUPLOADED.
I think it's cute, and I think they're compatible...but this is basically a crack pairing. Because Sai is obviously questionable and Sakura just likes to hit people. ::snerk:: Although they do balance each other out--for all her violence, Sakura is more trusting, where Sai is practical, Sakura is the one so far teaching Sai emotions and showing how he didn’t lose them as he thought he did, that sort of thing. I really hope Kishimoto doesn’t kill him off—they could be a good team. Sakura needs someone who isn’t “Sasuke-kun” (immature love) or Naruto (maternal, cute sisterly interactions) (but I’m a hypocrite with a Team Seven OT4 (Kakashi, not Sai)…). She's just so fucking awesome. Sakura loves Naruto with the same intensity Naruto needs Sasuke, and Sasuke wants to kill Itachi; instead of being jealous or scornful, Sai would be bewildered and then be affectionately amused by her need to save everyone. Maybe this isn't even really SaixSakura, but just the bond I can potentially see growing.

Much like my boy friends, Sai opens his mouth and crap comes out. Hitting ensues…and Naruto makes himself scarce to avoid spilling blood.

He lets her fall despite Yamato's orders, he doesn't understand people like her and Naruto, lofty ideas of protecting the people around you if it isn't in your best interests. Sakura looks at Sai and for all his weirdness, builds a bridge past his fake smile via his sketchbook. He clearly doesn’t know what to make of this.

I could NOT resist. :D And clearly neither can Sai. And I can see Sakura sweetly telling Sai she loves him like a 'rogue firework' burning her skin. Ouch. :D

And it you will go straight to your heart
Naruto is someone Sai figured out in seconds. Repeatedly he pushes the same buttons when it fancies his boredom and achieves the desired result (ex: Sasuke’s betrayal, which Naruto is in denial over). Sakura, however, is someone he cannot. Sasuke, who she’s supposedly in love with, is addressed with “-kun” where there are none for Naruto, who she appears to be closer to. And despite the fickleness of women, and Sakura’s breaking heart, where her boys are concerned, she’s a person who’s power Sai acknowledges.
6. Rescued by Jack’s Mannequin

I feel alright, and I’m thinking I’d
Prefer not to be rescued…
Sai hops on Naruto's Bonds R Us bandwagon. Sakura gives him a shiny button. By laws of logic they Must Bond, as Naruto makes himself, his brain, or or both, disappear when Sasuke is brought up.

You've begun to feel like home
Someone has to… “You’re very gentle with Naruto…aren’t you?” I like this, because Sai is already facinated with their dedication to Sasuke, from a psychological, I've Forgotten What Emotions Are standpoint, and from a respectful one. He...takes her seriously. (In my head Sai finds her maternal, protective devotion to Naruto cute as he settles in with Team Seven after the failed Sasuke-retrieval.)

(Sai…just keep your mouth shut and try not to look, act…be... too gay. And yet, you would be Sakura’s most normal potential boyfriend yet despite all of this…)
